In case it wasn't obvious, I am back to being MIA.
Getting a four year degree in four years is a pain. My sympathies to everyone else doing so.
I am working a lot less this semester, which may come back to bite me in my financial ass, but I'm hoping it will pay off in the long run.
I hope to one day continue the Notes series and finally finish up the two or four InuKai fics I've started, but who knows what'll happen after graduating.

Whee!
Brief summary: My current food service job is going to end in March due to renovations to the building it's in. And I kind of hate it anyway, even though I've been there for two and a half years. However, this leaves me without a job from March until August, when I graduate.
Sooo I applied for a building manager position, which basically entails walking around and making sure the right rooms are locked/unlocked, kicking out annoying people, answering questions, etc. There are only two openings. (Yeah, it's another peon job, but probably the last one.)
I turned in my application today at 4:30, and by 6:30 I had an email from the facilities manager asking me when I was available for an interview.
Yay!
I'm sure there's a pretty good chance I'll get the job, since I'm so familiar with the building and I have experience with the added responsibility of being a "student supervisor" at my current job. Plus all the workers the facilities manager has under her love me because I give them free food. *cough*
Anyway, interview is Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I kept trying to do a custom ♥ kind of character, but it would not work no matter what I did so I went with the infinity symbol instead.
(I also tried doing custom rectangles for InuiSmiley's glasses, but, alas, no luck there either. Hence, boxes.)
Ahem. I am done being a nerd now.
And if the picture's "too big" for your friends page or whatever, I... don't care. *cough* Learn how to use that option on livejournal that turns bigger pictures into little placeholder things.

I'm going to post an uber-geeky InuKai-related... thing... tomorrow night sometime. ^^; It will probably be entertaining for 0.1 seconds, but, eh, it'll make me feel better.
I haven't had any chance at all to work on the note universe or any fics, but I'm hoping that will change after Thanksgiving.
(Um, so, I'm kind of really uncomfortable doing an AU PoT fic - i.e., the vampire fic. I don't know if I should anymore. I mean... it's not very PoTish if it's AU, and the PoT is the entire point, right? Bah, but I like the fic and I like where it's going and I have it all planned out...)

I'm sorry, but I really have to get this off my chest. If you are easily offended, do not continue reading.

Why do many authors who write yaoi fanfiction feel the need to dress male characters in what is essentially female clothing when they are supposed to be looking "hot"?
I'm sorry, but tight shirts that bare one's stomach are usually worn by females, or, granted, some flamboyantly gay males. Not usually teenage boys.
I've seen fics where the male characters are wearing three-quarter length (tight) shirts. Again, typically a female thing. As are lacings/ties on the shirt.
Tight pants, slightly more understandable. But, still - most of my male friends generally say they need room to, ah, "hang."
And glitter. Good god. Just... no. Same with other makeup.
Do authors just decide to ignore that they are generally writing about typical teenage/early20s MALES who are generally not flamboyantly gay? Do they really want to see/imagine males in female clothing that much? (Trust me, I've seen it, it isn't that great.) Isn't the whole point of yaoi to write about two males?
I just don't get it.
(This little rant obviously does not apply to male characters who do dress as detailed above in whatever anime/manga/TV show/book they come from.)
And yeah, yeah I know - don't like it, don't read it. I've stopped reading many a fic when the author decides to start slapping tight midriff-baring shirts on their male characters. I unfortunately have to get to the part where that happens before I can stop.

I doubt I'm going to finish the Halloween fic by Halloween, but I'll probably post the beginning on Halloween so you guys can tell me what you think so far. ;D I have high hopes of finishing soon, however. (I actually have the entire thing plotted out (including the end) which is always what gets me - I get halfway through, and don't know what to write next.)

Just to clarify, I suck at life.
My real life procrastinating is finally starting to catch up to me, and it is holding two-by-fours studded with rusty nails in both hands. (So is one of my team members, I imagine.) Tetanus, here I come.
I AM going to continue the third note series. I have about half of the next one done, I'll try to get it up and posted tomorrow. (That probably means it'll be up in November sometime. I am teh awesome like that.)
Also might do a little Halloween-themed ficlet. Vampires, anyone? :)

Sorry for the lack of InuKai content lately. Been busy.
For once, though, my Sunday night is not going to be all "Holy shit all this stuff is due at 7AM tomorrow morning must stay up until 4AM to get it all done!!!" so I'm going to try to work on the next note.

Sooo my boyfriend and I have two cats. One is mine, that I've had since he was 6 weeks old (he's about 1.5 years old now), and one is my boyfriend's childhood pet (he's about 13-14 years old). My boyfriend's cat has this weird affinity for tennis balls - he doesn't PLAY with them (or anything, being old) per se, but...
I figured out of the people I know, my PoT friends would get the most amusement out of a cat obsessed with tennis balls. ;D

I am tired of driving.
Trip home = successful. (Brother looked like Draco Malfoy with his hair slicked back for the play he was in. Weeeeird.)
Today's interview = successful. (Am 95% guaranteed a job after graduation.)
Today's note = haven't even started looking at it yet. rewriting the last 75% of it, but I like it.
After I at least poke at the note a little, I must solder. Classes start again tomorrow. =|
The worst part about breaks is that they end.
